Event experiences and activations bring an immersive build out of a standing installation and into a live moment: a workshop, a conference session, or a scheduled activation where a group moves through the experience together.
Running a build as a live session, rather than a self-serve installation, lets a facilitator pair the technology with group discussion and adapt to the room, as PTR did with a two-day VR pilot for Etihad Airways cabin crew.
This is one of the capabilities PTR lists under Fast Builds, and the same practice-based approach PTR uses for a delivered training build applies when that build is run as a live session rather than left running on its own: a safe environment, real pressure, the learner's own choice.
PTR's published work gives one concrete, dated example of this pattern. PTR, in collaboration with Utano Global, delivered a two-day immersive VR training pilot in February 2024 using content from the PTR Library, run as a scheduled workshop for Etihad Airways cabin crew, combining VR modules with facilitated discussion sessions rather than running as a self-serve booth.

Beyond that one published pilot, PTR does not have other event or activation projects documented publicly, so none are claimed here. In general terms, running an immersive build as a live session rather than a self-serve installation lets a facilitator set the pace, pair the technology with group discussion, and adapt the session to the room, at the cost of needing more staff time and a scheduled slot rather than a booth people can drop into whenever they pass by.
