A custom build can draw on any of PTR's six AI capabilities: digital twins that talk to clients and connect to everyday workflows, AI companions built around a defined purpose, conversational agents with configurable guardrails, retrieval over an organisation's own approved knowledge, human oversight with review and audit built in, and connections to calendars, booking and business tools.
PTR's published position on AI rests on five commitments:
On top of these commitments, PTR builds for organisations where trust matters: approved knowledge, human oversight, configurable boundaries, auditability, and deployment and data-location options where available.
PTR's published build process runs in five stages: Discovery & Consultation (understanding your goals and identifying the best tech solution), Co-Design Workshops (collaborative sessions to shape the experience with your team), Prototyping & Development (building custom environments, characters and features), Testing & Deployment (delivered across platforms with analytics and support built in), and Ongoing Support (staying with you to evolve and optimise the experience). Read the full detail on our approach.
A custom AI build is only as strong as the material it is grounded in: it needs curated, approved knowledge to draw on, not a general assumption that the model already knows an organisation's own policy or practice. It is not a substitute for licensed clinical or crisis care, and PTR's own published commitment is to amplify the people already doing that work, not replace them. And because a build is co-designed rather than off-the-shelf, it still needs the time the five-stage process above describes; a genuinely custom system is not something that can be switched on overnight.

A custom AI experience combines PTR's six standard AI capabilities into a build shaped around one organisation's own knowledge and workflow, delivered through a published five-stage process, not an off-the-shelf product with a fixed feature set.
