# Lift VR

You step into a lift, and so does someone who needs something difficult from you. Lift VR builds leaders' ability to respond to sensitive situations in their own voice, designed in collaboration with PTR's diversity partner Kinspace.

A lift lobby remark, replies in view.

Facing a colleague in the lift.

## Seconds to answer, in your own voice

A leader has seconds to respond when something sensitive is said. Lift VR asks you to personalise and adapt your own response rather than pick a scripted line.

That is the practice: courageous decision-making, said out loud, in a space that stays psychologically safe.

## What changes for your organisation

Leaders who have felt the cost of speaking up, and practised paying it, respond differently when it is real.

Leaders confer, and the decision gets named.

### Courage you can rehearse

Speaking up in a sensitive situation costs something. The scenes let a leader feel that cost before it is real, and find their own words for it.

After the ride, a reflection panel asks how you think you will go next time, so each session ends with a commitment rather than a score.

## Decisions a leader gets seconds to make

Delegation that gets pushed back, a probation conversation, a request for an adjustment: the lift is one setting for a moment leaders meet everywhere.

Delegation, and the pushback that follows.

A probation review, from the manager's chair.

A request for an adjustment, answered.

> "Virtual Reality offers a unique and powerful training tool that can immerse individuals in realistic, high-pressure environments without the associated risks."

## How a session runs

Lift VR runs between 4 and 10 minutes, and PTR delivers Library sessions with a facilitated group debrief. Some features need an internet connection; the Library collects no personal data, though it may collect app-improvement and analytics data.

### Inside the lift

PTR's short clip filmed inside the actual Lift VR experience. It carries no dialogue or captions: the lift, the person, and the wait.

In a session, the facilitator sets the scene, the leader rides, and the group names the decision afterwards.

### A Library session for leaders

A facilitator, a scene in a room that looks like theirs, a decision, and a debrief where the decision is named.

## Built with Kinspace

Lift VR was designed in collaboration with PTR's diversity partner Kinspace. Unlike Everyday Inclusion, Finding Common Ground and Speak to Me Normally, it is not part of the Equal Reality VR suite; it is its own vertical within the PTR VR Library.

A promotion conversation in a corner office.

### A diversity partner in the build

Kinspace brought the sensitive situations leaders actually face; PTR built the lift they play out in.

The title asks each leader to adapt their own response, which is why the partnership sits inside the scenes rather than in a foreword.

## The conversations leaders bring to it

Return to work, mentoring, an accessibility request: sensitive moments that arrive without warning, rehearsed with a facilitator in the room.

A return-to-work conversation.

A mentoring conversation.

An accessibility request, taken seriously.

## The rest of the Library

The other Library titles, each built for one conversation, and the PTR pages that put them to work.
