# Meta Quest Pro for training programs

VR with colour passthrough, eye and face tracking, and a fleet already in many training rooms, though Meta no longer sells it.

In a real room

## The headset many programs already own

A guided walk-through in VR, the room replaced, or the real room kept through colour passthrough where a program needs it.

Practising feedback in a ward scenario.

A museum scenario for guided exploration.

The real room kept, digital panels added.

Programs

## Which programs run on it

A Quest Pro runs what a Quest 3 runs, and adds what a program does with a learner’s gaze.

An office scenario for practising conversation.

### Every Library title, and the builds that read the face

[PTR VR Library](https://peopletechrevolution.com/xr/ptr-vr-library) titles run on standalone Meta Quest headsets, so [difficult conversations](https://peopletechrevolution.com/training/difficult-conversations), [bias and inclusion](https://peopletechrevolution.com/training/bias-and-inclusion) and [speaking up](https://peopletechrevolution.com/training/speaking-up-for-safety) programs run here. Eye and face tracking suit a custom build where where a learner looks, and for how long, is part of the debrief.

A cafe scenario for practising supported movement.

### What it does in a real room

Colour passthrough keeps the real room in view for a mixed reality scene, and the face tracking lets an avatar carry a learner’s expression into a shared scenario. The guided museum walk-through on the XR hub runs in VR here, the hall replacing the room.

[Virtual reality at PTR](https://peopletechrevolution.com/xr/virtual-reality) covers what the replaced room adds to practice.

The fleet

## What a fleet needs

Meta states that "Meta Quest Pro is no longer available", so a Quest Pro program runs on headsets an organisation already owns.

A facilitator adjusts a headset for a seated learner.

### A fleet you own, managed to the end of its life

A device manager such as [ArborXR](https://arborxr.com/) enrols the fleet across brands, and PTR agrees suitable hardware with you when a session is planned, including when a fleet should move to [Quest 3](https://peopletechrevolution.com/xr/devices/meta-quest-3). [Headsets and equipment](https://peopletechrevolution.com/training/headsets-and-equipment) has the IT list.

Observers watch a participant rehearse.

### Who chooses it

Simulation centres and universities that bought a Quest Pro fleet for research and want it in the training room, and programs whose debrief asks where a learner looked.

[Clinical educators and simulation leads](https://peopletechrevolution.com/training/for-clinical-educators-and-simulation-leads) and [education](https://peopletechrevolution.com/work/industries/education) describe the fit from their side.

What PTR ships

## What PTR ships on it

The Library titles, and a guided walk-through in VR that a school group or a ward orientation can take.

Comparing choices after a scenario.

### Library titles and guided walk-throughs

An [XR fast build](https://peopletechrevolution.com/fast-builds/xr-ar-mr-vr-builds) puts your own scenario on the fleet you have before production begins. The [Vision Pro](https://peopletechrevolution.com/xr/devices/apple-vision-pro) page shows the same walk-through in mixed reality, for a floor where the objects are already there.

Questions

## What do buyers ask about Meta Quest Pro?

Short answers, each with a link to the page that answers in full.

A learner moves inside a tracked space.

### Should we still build for Quest Pro?

Where the fleet exists, a build in Unity or Unreal Engine for Meta Quest runs across the family, so a program written for Quest Pro moves to [Quest 3](https://peopletechrevolution.com/xr/devices/meta-quest-3) when the fleet does.

A learner demonstrates limited head movement.

### What does eye tracking add to a training scenario?

A record of where a learner looked and for how long, which a facilitator can bring into the debrief, and sharper rendering where the eyes rest. [Branching scenarios and AI characters](https://peopletechrevolution.com/learn/xr/branching-scenarios-and-ai-characters) covers what a scenario does with that signal.

A facilitator stands among sound forms.

### Does it need a PC?

A Quest Pro runs standalone. A PC adds nothing a Library title needs; [VIVE and Varjo](https://peopletechrevolution.com/xr/devices/vive-and-varjo) covers the tethered class for professional simulation.

A wheelchair user rehearses at the table.
