# Partners

These are the studios and organisations we build with. Some collaborations produced a product we still offer, like Lift VR.

Others brought in the expertise a training program needed, from bias-awareness content to food science.

Lift VR: a request at the lift doors.

## Kinspace

Kinspace is our diversity partner on [Lift VR](https://peopletechrevolution.com/xr/ptr-vr-library/lift-vr), the leadership title in the PTR VR Library. You step into a lift, and so does someone who needs something difficult from you.

Lift VR was designed in collaboration with Kinspace. It asks each leader to personalise and adapt their own responses to sensitive situations rather than pick from a script.

Everyday Inclusion: two colleagues walk on past.

## Equal Reality

The [Equal Reality](https://equalreality.com/) home page says it plainly: Equal Reality is a subsidiary of People Tech Revolution, and its site and email are managed by People Tech Revolution.

The Google CHI 2024 case study on our [work](https://peopletechrevolution.com/work) pages was co-designed by PTR, led by Leonie Sanderson, with Google's DEI volunteers. The Mayo Clinic nurse-leader studies examine VR modules People Tech Revolution built for Mayo Clinic.

## The Ageing Revolution

[The Ageing Revolution](https://www.theageingrevolution.com/latest-projects/) was founded by Simon Lowe and Leonie Sanderson in 2015, to change the conversation about ageing. It names People Tech Revolution on its own projects page. Publishers license photographs of older Australians from its [Pikme](https://pikme.com.au/) gallery, which Simon helps to shoot.

The collaboration is live. Out of it came Carked It!, the card game about death and dying that won a [2024 Australian Good Design Award](https://good-design.org/projects/carked-it-a-card-game-about-life-death-and-beyond/), credited to The Ageing Revolution.

Its online version is in development and user testing. The full history is on [Our story](https://peopletechrevolution.com/about/story).

## QUT Design Lab

QUT is where the founders' projects started. Our Care Journal, the app for family carers, launched there in October 2018, and the aged care trials followed a few years later.

In 2021 and 2022 Leonie Sanderson, through The Ageing Revolution, managed the Transforming Aged Care with Virtual Reality trials across six facilities in Queensland and Victoria, alongside Griffith, Melbourne, La Trobe and Monash.

A philanthropic research grant from Facebook paid for the work. The trials left a [free implementation toolkit](https://research.qut.edu.au/agedcarevr/) any facility can pick up, and [ABC News filmed a session at Arcare Pimpama](https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-06-02/qld-virtual-reality-aged-care-centres-covid/101112460).

## Collaborations that became products

Lift VR with Kinspace, Everyday Inclusion with Equal Reality and Carked It! with The Ageing Revolution each started as a shared build and are still in use.

## Grit Leadership

With Grit Leadership we delivered VR workshops for Metro Trains using the Everyday Inclusion module, so operational leaders could see how policy and culture limit women in roles like train maintenance.

Head office, operational leaders and a combined leadership group each took a different angle on the same challenge. The pilot is written up in the [Metro Trains case study](https://peopletechrevolution.com/work/case-studies/metro-trains-gender-equity).

## Utano Global

With Utano Global we delivered an immersive VR pilot for Etihad cabin crew, combining the Everyday Inclusion and Mind Shift modules with yarning circle discussion to build cross-cultural awareness across a multicultural workforce.

Utano Global led the facilitation and the yarning circles; PTR brought the library titles and the headsets. What the pilot found is in the [Etihad case study](https://peopletechrevolution.com/work/case-studies/etihad-cabin-crew-inclusion).

## FoodStream Network

We developed the Cook It food-education program with FoodStream Network for New York City schools. It replaces textbook lessons with cooking, teaching nutrition, maths, science and cultural appreciation to students from migrant backgrounds.

FoodStream Network brought the brief, the funding and the classrooms. PTR designed and built the game. What FoodStream measured in class is in the [Cook It case study](https://peopletechrevolution.com/work/case-studies/cook-it-food-education).

## Programs delivered side by side

## Advance Queensland

Advance Queensland supported the VR training pilot we co-developed with Mater Education and Mater Foundation: Speaking with Good Judgement, Mater's own feedback and speaking-up program, rebuilt in VR so hospital staff rehearse the conversation in the rooms they will have it in.

The program is written up in the [Mater case study](https://peopletechrevolution.com/work/case-studies/mater-speaking-with-good-judgement) and in [Advance Queensland's own story](https://innovation.qld.gov.au/innovation-in-queensland/innovation-stories/people-tech-revolutions-virtual-reality-training-package-for-mater-hospital).

> "The Queensland XR Hub has helped us to connect with the XR ecosystem in Queensland, a leading location for the immersive tech industry. Being part of the Queensland XR Hub has its perks too. We connect with VR-curious companies through pitch days and events, landing Mater Education as our first Queensland client."

## Platforms and partners

Where People Tech Revolution shows up on somebody else's site, and what each of those organisations does with us. Every outbound link below opens their page rather than ours.

## ArborXR

ArborXR is a management platform for AR and VR devices. People Tech Revolution has a profile in the [ArborXR XR Directory](https://arborxr.com/content-creator/people-tech-revolution/), on ArborXR's own site, and the profile is open to read.

That profile lists our device support as HTC, Meta and PICO, and the regions we support as North America, South America, APAC, EMEA and LATAM.

## Where our name sits on somebody else's site

People Tech Revolution has a page on the Queensland XR Hub site and a profile on the UNE SMART Region Incubator site, which says we design and build virtual reality with impact in the health and social care sectors. Advance Queensland published the story of funding awarded to People Tech Revolution to support the development of a virtual reality training package with Mater Education. A buyer checking us can read them without asking us for anything.

## XRHealth Australia

XRHealth Australia describes it this way: they have worked closely with People Tech Revolution to co-design innovative immersive applications for a pilot supporting workplace mental health and recovery in the transport industry.

Martine McCash, Vice President, Services at XRHealth Australia, ends her testimonial: "I highly recommend People Tech Revolution as a trusted technology partner." What the work covers is on the [transport and logistics](https://peopletechrevolution.com/work/industries/transport-logistics) page.

## Mater Education

Mater Education was looking for a way to test the viability of virtual reality as a delivery model, to improve and modernise the training program they already ran. That is where the work started.

The Queensland XR Hub wrote it up as the [Mater and People Tech Revolution VR Training Program case study](https://qldxrhub.com/news/mater-people-tech-revolution-case-study/). Ours is the [Mater case study](https://peopletechrevolution.com/work/case-studies/mater-speaking-with-good-judgement), and the research behind it sits in [the Mater pilot evidence](https://peopletechrevolution.com/work/research-evidence/mater-immersive-learning-pilot).

## The brands that name us back

The Equal Reality home page says its site and email are managed by People Tech Revolution. The Ageing Revolution's projects page calls People Tech Revolution its tech arm, developing VR scenarios to challenge discrimination and bias.

## Where the work went

The clients behind that work, and the results they saw, are on [Who we work with](https://peopletechrevolution.com/work/who-we-work-with) and in our [case studies](https://peopletechrevolution.com/work/case-studies). How we structure a collaboration, from first workshop to delivery, is set out on [Our approach](https://peopletechrevolution.com/about/approach).
